Grindhouse Grist

The coming of the Tarantino/Rodriguez tribute flick "Grindhouse" has been the subject of some discussion at the CST. We've been trying to snag a print to show, but - as usual - got the high hand from the distributor.
Regal gets the first taste, then we get the leftovers. Typical.
In response to this rejection, Seth took our grindhouse plight to the Hollywood press - and got Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood Daily to give us a little love. An unexpected highlight of this little media hit, was a blog comment by none other than the great exploitation director Jack Hill (Foxy Brown, Coffy, The Big Doll House) - who agreed that we should do a Pam Grier double feature instead (see CST BBQ!!! for his post).
Things continue to kick along over here.....Black Snake Moan is reeling 'em in while Long
Gone John is finding its audience....Also, we were able to wrangle a return of Jodorosky's amazing and psychedelic "The Holy Mountain". Don't miss it this time around, folks.....there is absolutely nothing like it on the big screen!
