MURDEROUS MAIDS
- Nov 1 - 10

After nearly seventy years, the case of the Papin sisters continues to fascinate and repel. The story of class struggle, madness, incest and murder has provided a wealth of material for the various theories espoused by numerous feminists, historians, sociologists and artists. Filmed three times before (as Les Abysses, 1963, Sister My Sister, 1993, and Claude Chabrol's La Ceremonie).

HARRIET CRAIG
- Nov 11 - 13

Joan Crawford at her uber-bitch best as control freak Harriet Craig, who artfully ruins the lives of those around her while keeping her precious Ming vase dust-free and properly placed on the mantle.

For all its many hilarious, campy scenes, HARRIET CRAIG is a surprisingly complex (and unsympathetic) portrayal of a severely damaged, neurotic woman.

A cross between TRAINSPOTTING and BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, COOKERS is a modern horror story about a couple of drug dealers, Hector and Dorena, who rip off a ton of meth, then hole up in a house to cook it.

That's when the eerie visions begin...

COOKERS is an intense, vivid portrait of tweakers and a dead-on depiction of their full-bore decscent into tweaker hell.
